Last month the agreement between the Jan\u00e9 Mateu Foundation and the K\u0101lida Foundation was signed, for which our President and Founder, Mr. Juan Jan\u00e9 and Dr. Xavier Sierra, its patron visited their headquarters. With the signing of this agreement, a contribution will be made to the emotional support area of \u200b\u200bthe K\u0101lida Sant Pau center, which, during 2023, expects to help some 950 people in some 3,000 visits.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The K\u0101lida Foundation promotes a comprehensive psychosocial support model for people living with cancer. Its objective is to create centers, located a few meters from the Oncology Services of the public hospitals of reference in cancer treatment, with spaces to welcome and accompany people with cancer, as well as their family, friends or caregivers. In them they will find practical, emotional and social support, in a pleasant environment specially designed to feel protected, informed and understood.<\/p>\n

This totally free service is intended to complement hospital medical treatments and is inspired by the psychosocial care model of the international NGO Maggie’s, whose network of centers we are part of, a comprehensive psychosocial support model for people who live with cancer. Its objective is to create centers, located a few meters from the Oncology Services of the public hospitals of reference in cancer treatment, with spaces to welcome and accompany people with cancer, as well as their family, friends or caregivers. In them they will find practical, emotional and social support, in a pleasant environment specially designed to feel protected, informed and understood.<\/p>\n
